Introduced for 1994, the "SN95" generation of the emblematic Mustang replaced the long-running Fox-based model with a more modern design that incorporated a handful of styling cues borrowed from the original car. It offered enthusiasts better handling, a revised interior, and a wide range of V6 and V8 engines. 1996 brought a hand-assembled 4.6-liter "Modular" V8 to the Cobra model, and production ended in 2004.
Power comes from a 4.6-liter V8, rated at 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque in stock form. According to a dyno sheet included in the cars documentation, this Mustang makes 435 horsepower and 367 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
Issues include: the radio faceplate plastic clip broken (stereo works). There are some small rock chips and scratches in line with a car of this vintage. If the car is parked for a couple of weeks I have noticed the battery will drain, so if I plan on storing it for a prolonged period I connect a battery tender.
Overall condition is very good, and the interior is very clean considering the age of the car. It even has the original cup holder in the center console (they are delicate and almost always broken on these cars). These engines have a reputation for dependability and longevity, and that has been my experience, I have never even had a check engine light come on. Everything works; stereo, electrical components, everything.
This is pretty much as clean as they come. With about 66,000 miles, this car offers modern power figures in a vintage package for a reasonable price of $18,000!
This car is adult owned and cared for, I have driven it very little over the past five years. I have the title in hand, and I will entertain reasonable offers. Low ball offers and silly trades will be ignored, please don’t waste my time. Must have cash and know how to drive a stick shift.
